Junction Motor Speedway

Junction Motor Speedway is one of eastern Nebraska’s premier dirt tract raceways. Located just 4 miles south of the York Interchange at McCool Junction, racing at the Junction Motor Speedway features: modifieds, late models, sportmods, stock cars, hobby stocks, and sport compacts with a few races in other catagories. Races are held on every Saturday throughout the racing season along with occasional special events on other days.

The track is considered a 3/8 mile track with a 6% banking on the straight-a-ways and 12% in the corners. The racing surface is 80 feet wide and 90 feet in the corners providing ample room for side by side by side racing excitement. The surface of the track is gumbo. The concrete retaining wall and cable reinforced chain link fence are built at a 90 degree angle to the track for added safety which is important because the fastest class of cars has been timed so far at 130 miles per hour on the straightaway, excluding the sprints.

The grandstands hold 4000 people with a planned expansion to add another 8,000 seats in the future for a total of 12,000 seats. There are also two suites available with seating for up to 16 in each suite.

The speedway also features a gift shop, in the main building, filled with JMS racing apparel, hats, NASCAR toys and more, including some very special NASCAR memorabilia.
